- Added Interface HandleGate, rendered after login inside AuthGate: an account the orchestrator says holds no handle sees the claim and nothing else until it takes one, since without a handle it cannot post, publish a link or have a mailbox
- Added Redundancy the gate fails open on a 404, an error or a still-pending answer, so an older deployment or an outage never locks anyone out of what they already have
- Added Function e2e handle-gate.spec covering held, missing and unavailable, on both viewports

- Added Ability to log in or sign up with a name and password on the gate; the gateway signs the orchestrator's challenge for the account, so the session that comes back is the same bearer a passkey device gets
- Added Interface a Mail password card on /account that sets the Stalwart password with the session bearer, creating the mailbox for a passkey user, and shows the git send-email config with the handle filled in
- Added Function lib/node.ts, the gateway client, with each refusal code read back as one plain sentence
- Added Function e2e password-login.spec: login and sign-up requests, a taken name, a too-short password never sent, the mail card's bearer and body
- Added Function mnemonic.ts turns the vault's seed into 24 BIP39 words and back, and rawFromSeed verifies the seed string's prefix and checksum before anything is exported
- Added Function recoverFromPhrase: the words become the key, a passkey on this device wraps it, and the orchestrator registers the same principal that key always had; the words never leave the browser
- Added Function exportRecoveryPhrase unseals the vault behind a fresh passkey assertion and returns the words
- Added Interface a "Recover from phrase" door on the gate and a recovery-phrase card on the account page that shows once and asks three words back before it counts as kept
- Improved Redundancy registerSeed is one path for a derived, imported or handed-over seed, so every origin registers and seals the same way

- Fixed Bug where iOS could autocorrect or capitalise the 24 recovery words as they were typed (and learn them); both phrase fields turn autocorrect and autocapitalisation off
- Fixed Bug where the AuthGate test broke once HandleGate asked for the account's handle: its api mock had no operatorHandle; the account now holds one, so the gate lets it through
